DETERMINATION OF THE SINES ON A SPHERE-CONE AT ANGLE OF ATTACK FROM THE MEASURED SURFACE PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

A method is given for computing the inviscid fluid streamlines on a sphere-cone at an angle of attack in supersonic flow from the measured surface pressure distribution. The boundary layer was assumed to be negligibly thin. The necessary equations are derived and put in a form suitable for programming on a digital computer.
