Abstract

The experimenters' objectives were (1) to obtain introspective reports concerning the subjects' general attitudes toward the experiment; (2) to obtain information regarding any change in the motivational state of the subjects as the experiment progressed from week to week, and any change during a typical one-hour watch; and (3) to get some indication of the subjects' intellectual approaches to the vigilance tasks.
