SLENDER, TWO DIMENSIONAL BODIES HAVING MINIMUM TOTAL DRAG AT HYPERSONIC SPEEDS

Abstract

Consideration was given to the problem of minimizing the total drag (sum of the pressure drag and the friction drag) of a slender, two-dimensional, symmetric body at zero angle of attack in hypersonic flow under the assumption that the distribution of pressure coefficients is Newtonian and that the friction coefficient is constant.
