AN ATTEMPT TO PHOTOGRAPH PROMINENCES IN THE INFRARED LINE OF HELIUM LAMBDA 10830

Abstract

In the article is given a description of an at tempt to photograph prominences in the infrared line of helium lambda 10830 both by means of a spectrograph and by means of an interference polarization filter. Shown here are preliminary results of a comparison of emission of prominences in line lambda 10830 with emission in lines of helium D-3 and alpha of hydrogen.
