INFORMATION RETRIEVAL: SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY A LITERATURE SURVEY

Abstract

A survey of the world's literature on information storage and retrieval produced between the years 1951-1961 is presented. A brief description of the field is given along with statistical data on the scope and growth of the literature. There are 1,914 references in the bibliography part of the survey arranged in alphabetical order by the author. A subject index follows the bibliography.
