BIONICS.

Abstract

This booklet is devoted to a description of the fundamental aspects of bionics as a scientific field in which the possibilities in the use of knowledge of biological processes and meth ods to solve engineering problems are examined. In the booklet primary attenion is fixed on mat ters relating to the processing of receiving, storing, transmitting, and processing information in living organisms and to the possi bilities of using this knowledge in working on technical cybernetic systems in order to increase their universality, flexibility, and reliability. The booklet is intended for the reader who is familiar with the fundamentals of radioelectronics and cybernetics. (Author)
