MAINTAINABILITY ENGINEERING

Abstract

This report, contained in two volumes, summarizes the final results achieved in the performance of the maintainability techniques study. The broad objective of this study was the formulation of a maintainability technology applicable to ground electronic systems. Volume II is a compilation of the analytical techniques and related maintainability information developed in the course of the study. Topics treated include: maintenance theory and classification, systems maintenance engineering, design guidelines, prediction technique, design review, demonstration testing, and field data acquisition. Collectively, this information forms a body of knowledge useful to the maintainability engineer.
