CATEGORY II/III TEST OF THE AN/GSN-5A

Abstract

The Landing Control, Central, AN/GSN-5A is a ground-based, final approach navigation system providing three basic approach and landing techniques. These include completely automatic control, cross-pointer guided approach, and talkdown. These techniques used singularly or in combination maintain aircraft surveillance and guidance information to touchdown. Test results are presented in the form of graphs, tables, and general comments and form a basis for the conclusions and recommendations.
