DESICCATING BARRIERS FOR MILITARY PACKAGING

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop new and superior packaging systems and materials capable of producing a dehumidified or moisture con trolled atmosphere similar to that presently produced by Method II of Specification MIL-P-116D, at a lower cost and greater efficiency. The work consisted mainly of studies on desiccating materials capable of producing the desired effect when used in conjunction with barrier material components. The work is continuing in line with presently promising results.
