Solid State S- and X-Band Power Sources
Abstract
It is now possible to fabricate all semi conductor (devices) sources with usable micro wave output power. Specifically, 2 watts of microwave power at S-band (3000 Mc) and 250 milliwatts at X-band can be obtained from such sources. This report describes electrical measurements made on an X-band model at USAELRDL as part of the model-evaluation program. Spurious responses are shown to be at least 24 db below the primary output; stability is better than 0. 0001%.
