TURBOJET ENGINE ANALYZER DESIGN STUDY

Abstract

Methods of determining the condition of jet engines through measurement of performance sensitive parameters are outlined. The measurements required, test procedures, data processing, interpretation of results, and tentative limits are proposed. Estimates of the accuracy of the condition assessment, limiting conditions aasurement accuracies are included. The "state-of-the-art" in engine condition determination through non-performance sensitive parameters is reviewed and programs for advancing it are proposed.
