AN ANALYSIS OF PCM TRANSMISSION VIA SINGLE SIDEBAND

Abstract

The object of this analysis is to determine the relative merits of single-sideband transmission as against FM transmission of multichannel (e.g. 12-channel) PCM signals, for tactical radio relay equipment in the lower portion of the UHF range, and to recommend immediate and long-range development plans. The results, conclusions and recommendations of this analysis are given.
