SAGE TASK-EQUIPMENT ANALYSIS OVERLAP TECHNICIAN

Abstract

The operation of the Overlap Technician in the Boston Air Defense Sector (BOADS) of the SAGE System is described. The analysis is concerned with delineating the interface between man and machine or, in other terms, describing the relationship between the equipment to be operated and the task of the operators. The present report is one of a series which, ultimately, will cover almost all of the positions in a SAGE Direction Center, and some of the positions in a SAGE Combat Center.
