A STUDY OF PROCUREMENT COSTS AT THE SHIPS PARTS CONTROL CENTER. VOLUME 2. DETERMINATION OF COST FUNCTIONS

Abstract

A detailed analyses of ships parts control center on a division-by- division basis is presented. There is one chapter for each division. Each chapter contains a description of the division and a detailed analysis of the costs of labor, machine rentals, and paper consumed in the division. Such costs comprise about 96.5% of total SPCC expenditures. Predictive models covering these costs are developed for each division. Finally, these chapters contain analyses of the elapsed times incurred in the divisions.
