A STUDY OF EXTREMELY-LOW-FREQUENCY WAVE MOTIONS

Abstract

This report is concerned with a proper treatment of disturbances in the ionosphere. It develop the treatment of the excitation of extra-low frequency (magnetohydrodynamic-like) wave-motions in an infinite, homogeneous plasma imbedded in a constant, unidirectional magnetic field, for which the electrical conductivity tensor is easily established and methods of analysis are highly developed.
