STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF MECHANICAL DAMAGE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF FILAMENT-WOUND MOTOR CASES

Abstract

Study was made of the effects of surface flaws on the performance of Polaris motor cases, to compare the effect of winding sequence on the ability to resist failure from surface flaws, and to determine the reliability of various repair techniques.
