FREQUENCY STEERING OF THE BEAM IN ANTENNA ARRAYS,

Abstract

The short theory of frequency steering presented here indicates in principle the possibility of building antennas with linear and two-dimensional steering of the radiation pattern. The formulas derived make it possible to do design calcula tions of the parameters of linear and two-di mensional arrays for a given steering sector, the number of lines, the width of the pattern and the frequency deviation. In actual use of an tennas with frequency scanning it is also neces sary to consider the design of delaying struc tures and losses in them.
