SWITCHING PROPERTIES OF FERRITES AND GARNETS

Abstract

Results of an experimental and theoretical study of the switching properties of ferrimagnetic oxides are presented. Two terms - the switching time, the time required by the magnetization to reverse, and the switching parameter, S sub W, the inverse slope of the curve of the variation of the reciprocal switching time with the applied fieldch describe these properties are the prime considerations of this thesis.
