PROPERTIES OF ATOMIC IONS

Abstract

Studies on the properties of atomic ions were divided into four categories: (1) the lifetime of the metastable helium ion, (2) level crossing spectroscopy, (3) atomic lifetimes, and (4) a study of the metastable lithium atom. The status of each of these areas of research is presented in detail.
