EXCITATION AND DETECTION TECHNIQUES FOR MILLIMETER WAVE TRANSITIONS

Abstract

The molecular beam apparatus is now undergoing detector tests. An ammonia maser has been put into operation and used for stability tests of phase-locked oscillators. Beam absorption studies are being performed to determine the effect of radiation techniques on the line width of the molecular resonance. A Fabry-Perot inter ferrometer has shown high sensitivity as a milli meter spectrometer.
