TRANSDUCTION IN A LYSOGENIC STRAIN OF BACILLUS ANTHRACIS USING HOMOLOGOUS PHAGE

Abstract

A phage common to both donor and recipient was used in transductions of streptomycin resistance and streptomycin dependence in B. anthracis. The rates of transduction were approximately 10 to the -7th power per colony-forming unit of the recipient population.
