EXPERIENCE OF USING FLUORESCENT ANTIBODIES FOR THE ACCELERATED DIAGNOSIS OF TYPHOID FEVER AND PARATYPHOIDS,

Abstract

The main investigations were carried out with artificially infected human blood and the blood of typhoid or paratyphoid patients. Rabbit salmonella monoreceptor sera and fluorescent antirabbit gamma-globulin conjugate (dimethyl aminosulfochloride labeled) were used for inves tigations. The fluorescent antibody method for accelerated diagnosis of typhoid and paraty phoid fevers could be regarded as a tentative one. The employment of the fluorescent anti body method accelerated the blood examination results by 12-24 hours.
