Contents: Work of trade-union organizations must be raised to the level of new tasks (editorial); postal service must be developed and improved in all possible ways; communication facilities and computer technique help direct the industry; carrier-telephony equipment of the type KV-12; widening of the operating frequency range of ShAU-51; determination of the distance to the place of cable-insulation fault; sources of economy in electron tubes; planning and the financial control at communications enterprises must be improved; unremitting attention for the delivery of mail; the use of facsimile appara tuses for the elimination of flaws in the process ing of telegrams; public supervision over the performance quality of communication workers; concern ficient service to the population; considerate and thoughtful treatment of patrons; communications office in Alitus; creative initiative; a simplified cable finder. Results of the completion for the best suggestion in the field of postal-service mechanization; and the training of postal workers at a polytechnic school.
