SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION OF F-CENTERS IN POTASSIUM CHLORIDE.

Abstract

The spin relaxation of F-centers in KC1 was ob served between 2 degrees K and 150 degrees K and for applied magnetic fields, H, from one oersted to 10,000 oersteds, Predictions from a model in which the dominant spin-lattice interaction is the hyperfine coupling to nearbei are consistent with the experimental results. The value of the spin-lattice relaxation time was found. (Author)
