A NOTE ON THE PROPERTIES OF INERT NETWORKS,

Abstract

It is shown that an inert network as defined by Thornton always has a scattering matrix which is real, orthogonal symmetric and independent of frequency, and that any network with these proper ties may be realized as a bank of ideal transfor mers. (Author)
