Abstract

Discusses the mechanical and physical design of a workshop tool consisting of a cartridge chamber, barrel, silencer, punch and die. The unit de scribed weighs only 25 kg, but its working impact is estimated as equal to that of a 50 to 75 ton press. With only 2 gram of charge, holes of up to 25 mm can be punched in thick plate (15 to 18 mm).
