PRESSURIZATION EXPANSION OF THE X254 A1 SPIRALLOY CHAMBER,

Abstract

Rocket Motor X254 Al 80-pound filament wound chamber tests are reported. Growth data col lected from pressure tests of twelve units during the development of the Rocket Motor X254 is pre sented. Data are included from two hydrostatic burst tests, showing chamber burst pressures above 700 psi, with a corresponding cylinder wall stress of 91,500 psi. (Author)
