COMPLETELY COHERENT SEQUENTIAL DETECTION WITH APPLICATION TO SEARCH RADAR,

Abstract

This study provides the first accurate results for sequential detection at high input signal to-noise ratios, which is the area in which sequential detection search radars are most efficient. The results are useful in evaluating sequential detection systems, the use of which permits search radars to operate with less average power without loss of performance. Thus, the study should be of interest to those con cerned with the design or evaluation of search radar systems. (Author)
