Abstract

Systems of words in a given alphabet A can be regarded as words in an alphabet derived from A by means of adjoining one new letter which plays the role of a partitioning sign. This article is concerned with certain concepts and certain normal algorithms associated withms of words treated in the manner indicated. The article was written as an auxiliary to future efforts.
