THE GENERALIZED PROBLEM OF TWO FIXED CENTERS AND ITS APPLICATION FOR ARTIFICIAL EARTH SATELLITES,

Abstract

A solution is obtained for the problem of two fixed centers, under the condition that the masses of the attracting centers and the dis tance between them are complex values and that the potential assumes only real values at any position of the moving point in space. It is shown that such a generalization allows for the two fixed centers problem to be successfully applied in the theory of motion of artificial earth satellites. (Author)
