Sensitivity Characteristics of Liquid Explosive Systems

Abstract

This report describes experimental results obtained in the research program established to evaluate the safety hazard associated with high energy liquid explosives. Studies were continued on the determination and evaluation of the shock sensitivity of liquid explosives. Recent work in this area demonstrated that container material and physical dimensions are decisive factors in affecting the results obtained in gap testing.
