TISSUE TRANSPLANTATION. HOMOGRAFT ANTIGENS, IONIZING RADIATION AND OTHER FACTORS INFLUENCING HOMOGRAFT SURVIVAL.

Abstract

This report includes: The achievement of pro longed functional survival of renal homografts in man and the dog, transplantation of tissues and other whole organs (liver, spleen). Preservation of organs postmortem for ultimate transplantation; the isolation and characterization of cellular fractions active antigenically in a homologous system, synthetic polypeptides as model proteins, possible plasma expanders, and adjuvants for use with bacterial and viral antigens.
