ZEEMAN EFFECT IN GAS DISCHARGE LASERS,

Abstract

Recent measurements of the intensity of the emission of a gas discharge laser are discussed in terms of Zeeman effect. Results indicate that the observations, at least in part, can be accounted for by the latter. By application of magnetic fields it also seems possible to induce mode switching. (Author)
