Abstract

The expression for c (Nk) in the equivalence r Y m r nkc (Nk) m is obtained for ground states given by Hund's rule. Here r Y m is a component of a perturbing electric field, and m is an operator-equivalent. The Hund ground state involves N equivalent electrons , each with k units of orbital angular momentum and principal quantum number n. (Author)
