EXPERIMENTAL PROGRAM OF STEERABLE ANTENNA FOCUSING INVESTIGATION (STAFT) . TWO-DIMENSIONAL SELF-FOCUSING ARRAY ANTENNA MODEL

Abstract

A description is presented of the experimental test program for determining the properties of the two-dimensional self-focusing a1ray antenna model. The initial efforts of the program have been devoted to the design and construction of the test equipment to be used in the field probing operation. The results of these efforts are described. A brief discussion of the salient features of the self-focusing technique in a two-dimensional mode of operation is reviewed as background. Preliminary efforts have been made to provide more specific definitions and objectives of the tests to be performed. This is also discussed.
