INACTIVATION OF ENCYSTING AZOTOBACTER CELLS BY IONIZING RADIATION,

Abstract

Azotobacter cysts were exposed to x-ray, gamma ay, and proton radiation. Results indicate a sensitive response to low levels of radiations. Azotobacter cysts may offer a biologic system for dosimetry of ionizing radiations. (Author)
