MIXED CRYSTALS INASYSB1-Y PREPARED BY THERMAL EVAPORATION,

Abstract

The system InAs-InSb has been produced by the thermal evaporation of the metallic constituents. The technique used was an extension of one developed for InSb. The films produced were n-type in character, with carrier concentration in ex cess of 10 to the 18th power 1cc. Because of the small effective masses of these compounds, dispersion effects were apparent for the refractive indices. Transmission measurements to 6 microns are shown. (Author)
