ROTATIONAL EXCITATIONS AND TURBULENCE IN LIQUID HELIUM.

Abstract

The density of states function has been calculated from specific heat measurements around the superfluid transition temperature of liquid helium He4. It exhibits poles and branch points at integer multiples of K times the transition temperature. The superfluid transition exhibits some features in common with the Bardeen-CooperSchrieffer and Kac-Uhlenbeck phase transition theories. (Author)
