METHOD OF OBTAINING BORON NITRIDE,

Abstract

Method of obtaining boron nitride by nitration of a mixture of boric anhydride and carbon at high temperatures, distinguished by the fact, that for the purpose of increasing the degree of purity and the yield of final product, the basic mixture, consisting of 85% (by weight) of boric acid and 15% (by weight) of carbon, after de hydration is subjected to two-stage nitration at temperatures of 1500 and 1700 degrees respectively.
