SILVER MIGRATION AND TRANSPORT MECHANISM STUDIES IN SILVER OXIDE-ZINC BATTERIES.

Abstract

A further study has been made of the mechanism by which silver is transported in a silver alkaline battery. This transport appears to take place primarily by diffusion. Two screening tests have been devised and tested for determin ing the tendency of a separator to pick up silver from the electrolyte and also its ability to prevent transport of silver through the material.
