DETERMINATION OF LEAD 2-ETHYL HEXOATE,
Abstract
Multron R-18, Toluenediisocyanate, and L-26 are components of a polyurethane potting compound. The polyurethane polymerization is catalyzed by the Lead 2-ethyl hexoate (L-26). L-26 was used at the very low ratio to R-18 of 1:1,000. It is desirable for processing accuracy to premix the L-26 with the R-18 before adding the other components of the polyurethane. The quantity of L-26 catalyst is critical. Since polarography is especially suited to trace analysis and lead is easily determined polarographically, this method was investigated as a technique analysis. (Author)
