INVESTIGATION OF SPACE PROBE DATA CONDITIONING AND REDUCTION METHODS.

Abstract

The data collection and processing methods of the scientists conducting rocket probe and satellite experiments were studied. The best procedures to be used for data conditioning, decommutation, and digitizing for entry into a large scale computer were recommended and a trial program written and tested to substantiate the recommendations. The results of this research are presented. The digitizing equipment, the desired data formats, and the data processor programs are described. (Author)
