A MODEL FOR ESTIMATING TRACKING EFFECTIVENESS,

Abstract

A model for estimating the tracking effective ness of a surveillance force has been postulated and its equations solved. Use of the model to determine the effectiveness of a surveillance system has been demonstrated, with specific numerical illustrations being provided, for the one-target and many-target cases. The use of such surveillance systems as devices to aid in raidrecognition has been discussed briefly. Several areas which seem fruitful for further research have been pointed out. (Author)
