SURVEY OF RECOMMENDATIONS BY HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEERINGATORS DURING ARMY MISSILE SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS,
Abstract
This study classifies and tabulates 1311 human factors engineering recommendations funished by an ''independent'' evaluating activity during the design and development of seven Army Missile Systems. The tabulated data was obtained from assessments of entire systems, rather than system segments. The information contained herein indicates those human factors engineering areas which have been of prime concern to evaluators during research and development. The principal purpose for providing this ''quick-look'' summary is to stimulate added awareness of and attention to these areas during initial design stages of future missile systems. (Author)
