INVESTIGATIONS OF DEEP-SEA SEDIMENT CORES. II. MASS PHYSICAL PROPERTIES,

Abstract

This report discusses results of laborayrry measurements of the mass physical properties of more than 700 samples including: grain size, specific gravity of illids, wet unit weight, water content, void ratio, pre-water saturation, liquid and plastic limits, and compressive and rr vane shear strength. Also computed were poro sity, liquidity index, plastic index, cohesion, sensitivity, activi ,, and modulus of elasticity. (Author)
