PROJECT SURIC - PHASE V - VOLUME I.

Abstract

Effort was continued to develop the Surface Ship Integrated Control (SURIC). The current phase of the program has been concerned with several inter-related tasks in the areas of bridge instrumentation and ship control. These included: (1) A study of advanced bridge instrumentation systems for ships of the destroy er class and the generation of performance requirements for the equipments; (2) Completion of simulation studies using the experimental Conning Console built in an earlier phase of the program; and (3) A study of the interface and dynamic requirements of ship vehicle control from the bridge.
