HIGH-VELOCITY CUMULATIVE JETS,

Abstract

The obtaining of high-velocity cumulative jets is described, the structure of the jets is studied from slow-motion pictures and the state of the material in them is studied from the luminosity spectra of the process, a number of dependences of the velocity of the high-velocity jet on various parameters are given, and, finally, an attempt is made to consider the high-velocity and main cumulative jets as the discharge of a highly compressed metal into a vacuum.
