ATMOSPHERIC REFRACTION EFFECTS ON TRACKING SYSTEM DATA,

Abstract

Refractive effects of the atmosphere on the data obtained from tracking devices is discussed. Causes of difficulties in making refraction cor rections are given with some suggestions for mini mizing errors. A mathematical derivation of the correction equations is given, and numerical techniques are indicated for evaluating the cor rection equations. (Author)
