DETAILS OF MATHEMATICAL METHODS EMPLOYED FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE SECOND-ORDER THREEBODY INTERACTIONS.

Abstract

A detailed description is given of mathematical methods used for the evaluation of second-order threebody interactions between atoms of the heavy rare gases of neon, argon, krypton and xenon. Argon is used as a standard example for whe different expressions will be evaluated numerically. Since the analytical forms for these expressions are the same for the other heavy rare gases, similar general results are obtained in all cases. (Author)
