THE INVESTIGATION OF EXOTHERMIC BRAZING OF REFRACTORY ALLOYS.

Abstract

Shear testing of refractory alloys at elevated temperatures was performed on exothermically brazed joints of unalloyed tungsten, molybdenum, columbium, tantalum, and TZM alloy. Brittle-to ductile transition temperature testing was per formed in order to determine the effects of exo thermic reaction heat on as-received unalloyed tungsten, molybdenum, and TZM alloy. (Author)
